Naz is happily married and a mother of 5. She is a total cat lover and proud owner of two cats, Fluffy and Pishka. She is notorious for running a tight ship and her louder than life personality.
Director/Principal Psychologist
Noosha Anzab
Noosha is the Founder & Director of Kana Psychology, formerly known as Psychfirst. Noosha is a Clinical Psychotherapist holding membership with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA), and a Psychologist with General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, a division of the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). She is also a Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology), Bachelor of Psychology and a Masters of Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is also hold membership to the Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Association of Australia (EMDRAA) as well as the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPi).​Throughout her career, Noosha has enjoyed working with children, adolescents and adults. Currently, she only works with adult clients. she prefers a humanitarian and person-centered approach, and is trauma informed in practice. That's just good old talk therapy that has a heavy consideration to psychodynamic psychotherapy and parts work. Within the therapeutic setting, Noosha believes every client has the right to be heard in a confidential and safe environment, free of their own judgements of the self. She likes to use a collegial approach to work with her clients through their difficult times (whether past, present or anticipated in the future) and situations. Together Noosha likes to collaborate, and work creatively and adaptively to achieve the best outcomes, whilst often working outside the square.​ Noosha has a keen interest in complex post-traumatic stress disorder, developing a sense of self and exploring the schemas and parts which we have developed in response to the life we have been given.​ As a refugee, she is also passionate about the intersections of culture and faith, in her client's therapeutic journey, paying close attention to cultural nuances, particularly within the South West Asian culture. In her spare time, she loves to cook. She is a big foodie and her palette doesn't discriminate. Noosha has a love for coffee, hosting get togethers with her loved ones, watching films and writing for media. ​Her work is diverse as she provides individual and couples therapy, offers opinion for various media outlets, consults for corporate organisations, and runs education workshops for local businesses, professionals and schools.

Noosha is of an Iranian background & is fluent in Farsi. She owns 4 bunnies names Waffles, Silver, Pancake and Syrup. She also has a beaded dragon called Mango.

Sevilay Dogan
Sevilay is a Psychologist with General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, a division of the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
As an experienced psychologist, she is dedicated to making a positive impact on the human experience. Sevilay's practice focuses on helping individuals find motivation and cultivate meaningful change in their lives and enable healing.
Sevilay works collaboratively with clients, utilising a holistic approach to address their unique needs and goals. Through a compassionate and personalised approach, she strives to empower her clients to achieve their fullest potential and lead fulfilling, balanced lives and overcome negative/traumatic experiences.
Additionally, she has experience working with complex trauma, focussing in neuromodulation including neurofeedback and heart rate variability, which has been a passion of hers.

Her toolbox is equipped with evidence-based modalities including, but not limited to: EMDR, CBT, trauma-informed CBT, Internal Family Systems Therapy, Ego State Interventions, Emotionally Focused Therapy, couples counselling, family therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Schema Therapy. She also uses biofeedback methods such as HRV (heart-rate variability).

Nafisa Choudhury
Nafisa is the Co-Director and Principal Psychologist of Seerah Psychology, a boutique private practice located in Kana Psychology. When visiting, you will notice their room in the heart of Kana.

Nafisa started her career in 2010 providing assessment and intervention to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Her areas of interest include anxiety, depression, complex trauma, navigating experiences of marginalisation, and navigating difficulties associated with neurodivergence.
Nafisa is trained in various modes of therapy (CBT, ACT, DBT, EMDR, Schema Therapy other trauma-focused approaches). She uses a holistic and integrated approach in her work, as she believes no single approach can be applied for the complexity of each person's life experiences and circumstances. Nafisa is bilingual and can offer therapy in English and Bengali.
Nafisa currently works in private practice and is a co-director of Seerah Psychology.
Clinical Psychologist/PsyBA Supervisor
Carawan Ghanem
Carawan is the Co-Director and Principal Psychologist of Seerah Psychology, a boutique private practice located in Kana Psychology. When visiting, you will notice their room in the heart of Kana. Carawan is a Clinical Psychologist with 15 years of experience dedicated to enhancing the well-being of individuals and families. With special interests in trauma, perinatal depression and anxiety, pregnancy and infant loss, and parenting issues, she offers therapy in Arabic and English.
Carawan uses evidence-based methods, including EMDR, CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema, and Family therapy. As a board approved supervisor, she supervises psychologists to maintain high standards of care.
As co-director at Seerah Psychology, Carawan promotes a nurturing environment for healing and growth. Her passion for the brain-gut-nutrition connection underscores her holistic approach to mental health.
